2025 Australian Open Men’s Picks
At last year’s Australian Open, Jannik Sinner won his first-ever Grand Slam title. The Italian defeated six-time Grand Slam finalist Danill Medvedev.
Sinner had a strong 2024 season, also lifting the US Open title in September. The 23-year-old is currently ranked number one in the ATP standings and is the standout favourite to win the Australian Open 2025.
Potential challenger Carlos Alcarz also won two Grand Slams in 2024. Alcaraz lifted titles at the Roland Garros and Wimbledon and is ranked number three in the world. However, the Spanish player has never reached the final at Melbourne Park.
Novak Djokovic is another contender for the Australian Open title. No player has won the event more than the experienced Serbian (11). But the 37-year-old has fallen to seventh in the ATP rankings after playing five events last season.
Djokovic is still capable of competing though as he won Olympic gold in Paris and progressed to the Wimbledon final.
1win has the latest Australian Open 2025 odds and markets available via its sportsbook. Here are the latest outright winner odds for the men’s singles event this year. Be aware that the odds can change before the event starts.

- Carlos Alcaraz - 3.8

Women’s Singles: Sabalenka The Favourite
Aryna Sabalenka will attempt to win her third consecutive Australian Open title in 2025. The Belarusian won her first Grand Slam title at Melbourne Park in 2023 before defending it in 2024.
Sabalenka improved her consistency in 2024 and rose to the top of the WTA rankings. She also won the US Open in September and has reached four of the last eight Grand Slam finals.
World number two Iga Swiatek will pose a serious challenge to Sabalenka. The Polish five-time Grand Slam winner started the 2025 season well, reaching the United Cup final before losing to Coco Gauff.
Gauff is another potential challenger for the women’s singles title at Melbourne Park. The 20-year-old is currently number three in the official WTA standings and finished 2024 with wins at the Riyadh Finals and United Cup.
Although Gauff is in strong recent form, she failed to make any Grand Slam finals last season. As a result, she is behind Sabalenka and Swiatek in the outright winner odds.
